Hey there! My name is Aleksandria Crafts, known online as @CraftsCreates, I am an emerging creator double majoring in 2D and 3D animation at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Georgia. I'm an animator, illustrator, and creative writer deeply influenced by mixed media works. Animation has always been about telling stories for me - my mission is to generate fresh ideas, inspire others, solve complex problems, and create independent projects with as many wonderful creatives as I can!

Through my education and personal work I have diversified my animator skillset. I have various certifications in storyboarding; a decade of 2D animation/digital illustration experience using programs such as Krita, Adobe Photoshop, & Toon Boom Harmony which I am enforcing with traditional college education; a year of experience in 3D animation using Autodesk Maya; and I dabble in video editing with Adobe After Effects & Adobe Premiere Pro.

My greatest attribute is my transformational leadership style. I like to work/create in an environment where people feel encouraged to contribute ideas, develop new skills, and work collaboratively. I facilitate this type of environment through cross-functional tasks, frequent team feedback sessions where people can speak their mind, and specialization of team members. I strive to empower those around me rather than just managing tasks.

Much of my inspiration comes from life outside of art - aviation, cyberspace/computing, extreme athletics, teaching, service, and more! I find that my experiences from outside animation have given me a very unique perspective, which has helped me analyze workflows, identify bottlenecks, develop new systems/pipelines, and come up with out-of-the-box ideas. My latest obsession is look development & niche storytelling.
